Day 58 - The Valley?

Alright... I'm usually really upbeat, witty, clever and the whole bit. But today i'm feeling it. It's been a long time coming but I think i'm due for a gripe.

I'm up before 5 now and outside on the street jumping rope by 5:30. In the office by 7 - luckily the family is helping me a great deal with food/weighing/groceries etc... but the day now is tough as i'm exhausted by 3pm.
Eating lunch/light snack and then home as soon as poss to see the little one to bed... dinner (eggs/apple/milk/joy) then off to the gym. Finished at the gym last night at 10:30pm... up again in the morning just shy of 5 to do the whole thing over.  Client outings/conf calls/productivity/mood swings/travel... it's all happening and now i'm really feeling it.  I'm REALLY sore at the knees, arms, shoulders, stomach... And who's doing 8 minute abs on top of all this???

I was making good progress - I've lost 11 kgs and have held on to that loss which I'm very happy about. At 96 KGs now and stuck there for the last 2 weeks... no change and less change in day to day appearance/the fit of my clothes.  Is this the valley?? I'm hurtin'...

  1. Gripe away - that is what the blogs are for.

I manage to get the workout done before dinner which gives me a bit more time for myself after I have put my little one down. But I don't go to the gym and do the workout at home.

11kg is outstanding. Your photos are really showing it too.

  2. But check out your progress man...11 freakin' kgs? That's more than a the luggage allowance on a cheap flight! The bigger diffence is in your photos...don't understate the significance of the change in your physique (say physique with a French accent...much more sophisticated). one more month to really cement those large changes. With the foundation laid over the past 2 months, every good meal, and early workout is making a big big difference. Soon, you'll be able to start strutting around the office, giving it the big ones about "back when I used to be overweight", and "honestly...I wasn't always this buff"...hey, skinny guys don't have to do the end of day wrap!
